How lives work
- Every hero starts with 3 lives (the red hearts shown in the castle).
- Losing a fight costs 1 life. You can’t flee a battle.
- At 0 lives the hero is deleted — save slot, equipment and everything in the bag.
- Arena losses don’t cost lives, only rating.
What you keep after losing a hero
| Kept | Lost |
|---|---|
| Lineage ranks bought at the Hall of Lineage — each rank adds roughly +4.66% HP, Attack, Magic and Defense to every future hero | The character, its class and Super class |
| Items in the Inn’s shared storage chest | Equipped gear and bag items |
That’s the “lineage” in the name: each death makes the next hero stronger.
How to get lives back
- Codes: 0y0, SAKURA, COMMUNITY! and ARENA each give 1 Life (all codes). Rewards sit in your inbox, so a common trick is to leave them unclaimed until you actually need a life.
- Reviving mid-fight costs Robux (the price hasn’t been published).
Protect your stuff on your last life
- On your last life, move your best gear into the Inn storage (or unequip it) before risky runs — storage is shared across heroes. (This follows from how storage works; no source tests it directly.)
- Gear has no level requirement, so a new hero equipped with your old endgame gear can re-level fast — one guide says about 10 minutes on Nightmare instead of ~1.5 hours from scratch.
Starting over on purpose
Losing all lives is also one of the two ways to change class (the other is buying a 100-Robux save slot) — see classes.
